22-32 TEST. BMW 320iA, Mercedes-Benz C200 Kompressor, Audi A4 1,8T. BMW demonstrates elegant exterior, outstanding steering response and powerful brakes, but loses to competitors in acceleration and comfort. Mercedes-Benz – good sprinter; acoustic and riding comfort is also to be noticed. However, the grade goes down due to automatic gearbox pauses and bad rear visibility. Audi conquers by good interior finishing, excellent riding qualities and outstanding comfort. Main weaknesses – big turn radius and high equipment price.

34-40 OUR ACQUAINTANCE. Volga Siber 2,4. Car with American origin will become manufacturing leader for GAZ plant. How successful will be the project depends on Russian assembly quality and price.

42-46 PRESENTATION. Nissan GT-R is far from being the single car for its owner. It is much more suitable for race tracks where it can battle many of its competitors than for city streets.

48-50 PRESENTATION. Cadillac CTS of new generation – sporty sedan designed more likely for hot-tempered driver than for quiet passenger.

52-54 PRESENTATION. SEAT Ibiza is close to German standard of motor-car. Among advantages – comfortable driver seat, good interior finishing, accurate gearbox control, capacious for the class luggage compartment. Among weak points – lack of room for rear passengers.

The exterior of Lifan 620 reflects the lines of Toyota, BMW and even Audi – the model aspires to battle with rivals in segment D. Lifan Breez (in China – model 521) – city hatchback with youth tendencies.

96-105 TEST. Suzuki Swift, Mazda 2, Skoda Fabia. Suzuki Swift – relatively spacious car with clear steering response. Among weak sides – modest exterior and pensive robotized gearbox. Mazda 2 conquers by powerful acceleration and excellent gearbox control. However, the cornering is to improve, as well as the acoustic comfort. Skoda Fabia is distinguished by excellent cornering, acceleration and braking, comfortable front seats, capacious luggage rack. However there is not much room for rear passengers.
